Experience
I have been teaching since I was 19 years old and have accumulated over 10 years of teaching experience across a wide range of academic levels. Throughout my journey, I have taught students from Primary, Secondary and Junior College, giving me a strong understanding of how students learn and develop at different stages of their education.
My main teaching experience lies in Primary and Secondary Mathematics, as well as Junior College Economics. Over the years, I have worked with students of varying abilities, from those who need to build confidence and strengthen their fundamentals, to high-achieving students striving for distinction.
I am currently a Junior College teacher specialising in Economics. This allows me to stay closely aligned with the latest syllabus requirements, examination trends and effective pedagogical approaches. As an MOE-trained educator, I combine structured teaching methods with practical, real-world examples to help students develop a deep understanding of economic concepts rather than relying on memorisation.
Prior to teaching, I gained experience in the finance and investment sector, which enables me to bring authentic, real-world applications into my lessons. By connecting economic theories to current affairs, business decisions and financial markets, I help students appreciate the relevance of what they are learning while preparing them to excel in examinations.
Having worked with students for over a decade, I understand that every learner is different. My lessons are tailored to each student's learning style, ensuring they not only improve their grades but also gain the confidence and independent thinking skills needed for long-term success.
